The Great Teacher Alliance is back, and this season is BUILT DIFFERENT.
Across four episodes, Brian and Andi are taking on what gifted teachers actually need right now: how to see learners more clearly, stretch thinking beyond “more work,” make learning matter, and keep going without burning out. Gifted learners are built different. Gifted teachers are too!

Season 4 of the Great Teacher Alliance is a four-episode professional learning experience with Brian Housand and Andi McNair designed for gifted educators who are ready to move beyond more-work enrichment, cute-but-shallow activities, and survival-mode teaching.

Across the year, we will focus on four powerful moves:

Notice. Stretch. Matter. Sustain.

We will learn how to see gifted learners more clearly, design learning that stretches thinking with depth and purpose, make the work matter through authenticity and agency, and sustain ourselves as educators doing complex work in messy systems.

You get four live 90-minute episodes, an online asynchronous community, all materials and resources, and a full 6 hours of professional learning.

Dates: September 28, November 16, January 11, March 22
Time: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM ET / 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM PT
Cost: $150
Limited to: 150 participants

No fluff. No guilt. No “just give them more.”

Just practical, powerful support for gifted educators who are ready to build learning experiences worthy of the students in front of them.

Gifted teachers are asked to do some of the most complex work in education, often with the least amount of time, clarity, or support.

You are expected to challenge students who already know the answer, support students who are anxious about being wrong, design meaningful enrichment, explain giftedness to people who still think it means “high achiever,” advocate for services, differentiate for wildly different learners, and somehow keep your own creative fire burning while the system keeps handing you more things to carry.

And let’s be honest.

Gifted education does not need more random activities.
Gifted teachers do not need more guilt.
Gifted learners do not need more work pretending to be challenge.

They need learning that is built different.

That is why Brian Housand and Andi McNair are bringing back the Great Teacher Alliance for Season 4.

Across four live episodes, Brian and Andi will take on the real work gifted educators are doing right now: seeing learners more clearly, stretching thinking with purpose, making learning matter, and sustaining the energy it takes to keep showing up for kids who need something more.

No fluff.
No sit-and-get.
No glitter-covered busywork pretending to be rigor.

Just practical, honest, research-connected, teacher-tested support for gifted educators who are ready to build learning experiences worthy of the students in front of them.

The Problem

Gifted teachers are not short on ideas.

They are drowning in disconnected ones.

A cute activity here. A choice board there. A puzzle from Pinterest. A project that looks impressive but does not actually require much thinking. A district initiative that does not quite fit. A schedule that changes every nine minutes. A student who is brilliant but refuses to write. Another who is hiding. Another who melts down when the task gets hard. Another who finishes everything and still looks deeply unimpressed.

The real problem is not a lack of resources.

The real problem is that gifted teachers need a way to make sense of the work.

They need support that helps them answer:

Who is this learner, really?
What kind of thinking does this task actually require?
Why does this work matter?
How do I keep doing this without burning out?

That is the work of Season 4.

The Solution

Built Different is a four-part experience for gifted educators who want the work to feel purposeful again.

Brian and Andi will guide participants through four essential moves:

NOTICE

We see the learner.

Gifted learners are not one thing. They may be intense, quiet, anxious, funny, perfectionistic, twice-exceptional, underachieving, wildly creative, deeply sensitive, bored, curious, or camouflaging their abilities in plain sight.

This season begins with learning to notice what others miss.

STRETCH

We stretch the thinking.

Gifted students do not need more work. They need better work. Work with depth, complexity, ambiguity, creativity, transfer, productive struggle, and real intellectual purpose.

This season helps teachers move beyond “harder” and start designing richer.

MATTER

We make the work matter.

Gifted learners can smell fake from three hallways away. They need opportunities to create, question, investigate, build, advocate, connect, and contribute.

This season explores how to design learning with agency, audience, authenticity, and impact.

SUSTAIN

We help teachers keep going.

Gifted teachers are not machines that run on caffeine, Canva templates, and moral obligation. This work has to be sustainable.

This season helps teachers build routines, language, tools, and community that make gifted education doable, defensible, and worth returning to.

Online Asynchronous Community

The learning does not disappear when the Zoom ends.

Participants will have access to an online community space where resources, reflections, prompts, conversations, and follow-up materials will live throughout the season.

Because great professional learning should not feel like a one-night stand with a slide deck.

All Materials and Resources

You will receive the tools, templates, prompts, strategies, and resources shared throughout the season.

Not just “here is a cool idea.”

More like:

Here is the idea.
Here is why it matters.
Here is how to use it.
Here is how to adapt it.
Here is how to explain it to someone else.

Limited to 150 Participants

This is not meant to be a massive webinar where you disappear into the void.

Season 4 is limited to 150 participants so the experience can feel more connected, more personal, and more like an actual alliance.

Because gifted teachers need community, not another crowded digital ballroom where everyone is muted and mildly dead inside.

All for $150

Four live episodes.
Six total hours.
A yearlong arc.
An online community.
All materials and resources.
Brian and Andi doing what Brian and Andi do.

$150 total.

The Invitation

GTA Season 4: BUILT DIFFERENT is for gifted educators who know there has to be more than more.

More worksheets.
More projects.
More pressure.
More proving.
More pretending cute equals challenging.

This season is for teachers who want to design learning that actually honors gifted students.

Learning that notices who they are.
Learning that stretches how they think.
Learning that matters beyond completion.
Learning that teachers can sustain without sacrificing themselves in the process.

Brian and Andi are not here to hand you a binder of random activities and wish you luck.

They are here to help you build something better.

Because gifted learners and teachers are built different.

Professional learning should be, too.
