The Remix Lab Privacy Policy
Powered by SCAMPER | Created by Brian Housand
Effective Date: October 15, 2026
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
The Remix Lab helps educators explore creative-thinking strategies and develop classroom-ready learning experiences using SCAMPER-inspired transformations.
We believe curiosity should be encouraged, creativity should be accessible, and your personal information should be treated with care.
Information We Process
When you use The Remix Lab through ChatGPT, our MCP tool, get_remix_moves, may receive information relevant to your request, including:
-
Topics, objects, concepts, or instructional challenges you want to explore
-
Grade levels and instructional contexts
-
Creative goals and requested SCAMPER transformations
The Remix Lab does not require a separate account, payment information, or personal profile.
Please do not submit student names, identifiable student records, passwords, or other sensitive personal information.
How We Use Information
Information sent to the MCP tool is used to generate relevant SCAMPER thinking moves, creative provocations, and instructional suggestions.
The Remix Lab's current MCP application does not maintain a database of user conversations, store completed Remix Briefs, or build individual user profiles.
Service Providers and Data Sharing
The Remix Lab operates through third-party services, including:
-
OpenAI (ChatGPT): Provides the conversational AI experience and processes conversations according to OpenAI's applicable privacy policies and settings.
-
Render: Hosts The Remix Lab's MCP server and processes requests necessary to operate the tool.
-
Kajabi: Hosts our website and may process website visitor information through hosting, cookies, and related services.
We do not sell personal information collected through The Remix Lab MCP tool or use its submitted topics for advertising.
Data Retention
The Remix Lab MCP application does not intentionally save submitted topics, generated ideas, or Remix Briefs to persistent storage.
Our hosting provider may retain technical service logs, including request metadata, for operational and security purposes. Render's current Hobby workspace log retention period is seven days. Other infrastructure records may be governed by the provider's own retention policies.
ChatGPT conversations are retained and managed separately by OpenAI according to its policies and your account settings.
If you contact us for support, we may retain your email address, message, and related correspondence as needed to respond, resolve the issue, and meet applicable obligations.
Website Cookies
Our website is hosted through Kajabi, which uses cookies and related technologies to support website functionality. Additional analytics or other tracking technologies may be present depending on the website's configuration.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls provided on the website.
Children's Privacy
The Remix Lab is designed as a professional resource for educators and other authorized users, not as a service for children under 13 to use independently.
Educators should avoid submitting personally identifiable student information when creating instructional experiences.
Your Privacy Choices
You may choose not to provide personal information through The Remix Lab. You may also contact us to ask questions about information we hold, or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.
For ChatGPT conversation data, use the privacy and data controls available through your ChatGPT account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as The Remix Lab evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
