Well, it's Fall, and that means one thing. Pumpkin Spice Season is now open, and this year with the release of a limited edition of Pumpkin Spice Spam it seems that EVERYTHING has been pumpkin spiced. Oh, and yes, this is not fake news. Read on to hear some of where I am headed to this fall. I am kicking off the Fall 2019 Tour with three days in northern Ohio. Thanks to the local ESCs who worked to arrange this. It cuts down on the amount of air travel and allows me to see more of what our country has to offer by getting out to more districts and working with more teachers who will then go on to work with more gifted students.
I am hosting a SOLD OUT conference on October 4th at UNCW featuring Joe Renzulli and Sally Reis. It is going to be a pretty exciting day filled with many other fantastic presenters. Check out the line up here. I am super excited to be returning as a keynote speaker to the Alabama Association for Gifted Children's annual convention in their new location. I have presented in a lot of state and at a lot of conferences, but AAGC is one of the liveliest. The organizers and participants bring an enthusiasm and hunger for new information that sets the bar for me as a presenter. From there I am headed to the Grayson School to spend two days in residence checking out their new building and working with kids, teachers, and parents. This is THE school that is doing right. I can't wait for Grayson to knock my socks off. In November, it is NAGC time! This year, there were no rejections, and I will be presenting 4 sessions and participating in the 10th anniversary of Speed Geeking! I am excited to get my kicks at NAGC66. November also brings my return to the Rutgers Gifted Education conference. There is a pretty incredible line up of presenters that I am honored to be a part of. Check it out. Finally, I am perhaps most excited to be a part of TAGT's giftED19 Conference in San Antonio. This year, Lacy, Paulina, and the TAGT staff are really bringing the fun. I am organizing a Speed Geeking event, a conference wide scavenger hunt using GooseChase, and bringing a Confratute style team trivia game that we are calling Geeks Who Teach to the conference. Well, that plus a couple of sessions and other special surprises. It is a pretty full fall. I hope to see you on the road. Stay tuned for plenty of #carpetdiem and tales of travel. Brian
